Darts and Pickleball are played inside the Community Centre, there is also a table tennis and pool table available. The courts are now a multisport facility with no limits on how the space can be used. The operation of the tennis courts will be performed by a management company; Hawea Tennis Courts Limited. This company will be responsible for the bookings, sports equipment and have a focus on promoting amateur sport in our district. Tennis racquets are available for use.

tennis

The Tennis Courts have two tennis nets, both nets are mobile which allows them to be moved off the court when an alternative sport is being played.  Hāwea Tennis Club currently holds Social Tennis on a Sunday 2pm. For more information, please visit the Hāwea Tennis Court website. Casual players are welcome and bookings are available here.

Tennis Coaching is also available.

Basketball

A basketball court is available within the Tennis Courts. The tennis net can be moved to one side to allow the full court to be used. Basketballs need to be supplied by the players. There is also a hoop installed in the car park. The car park hoop should only be used between 9:00am and 8:30pm out of respect for the neighbours. To learn more.
